Willem Rasing

Born on 14th of october 1954 in a middleclass town in the centre of Holland called Deventer. After basic schools I joined the army for 1,5 year as a medic where I created beautifull wounds on the soldiers bodies as part of their medicall training. After military I worked half a year and started my study at the artacademy in Arnhem to become a teacher. I would never become a teacher. After my study and living in Amsterdam in the mean time, I started to work as a freelance illustrator and free artist. Having commissioned jobs for several purposes and organising exhibitions of my free works. I started joining cartoonfestivals allover the world in 1995 and now I'm a international pricewinner on many festivals and had exhibitions in Holland and abroad. Since 2007 I'm President FECO-Holland.
