Yunus Erlangga

Well known under his artistic name “JOEN”.
Born 30 May 1970 in Yogyakarta, Central Java, and Indonesia.
Currently working as cartoonist, caricature-artist and visual art teacher.
His works feature themes of humanism, gender, politics and environment. He uses simple technique because he prefers message he would convey.
He has held one Solo Exhibition “Laughing In Silence” in his hometown Yogyakarta,Indonesia (2015) and various group exhibition local and worldwide (since 2003).
He has received awards from China (2012), Mexico (2012), Romania (2011), and Germany (2011).
Since 2014 he was appointed to be The Ambassador of Good Humor Party in Indonesia...
